Artist's Statement

After leaving Syracuse University's College of Visual and Performing Art and having put aside artistic endeavors for 22 years I have at long last found my way back to creating. I began taking studio and art history classes at S.U. Onondaga Community College in my early fourties - part of my mid-life crisis I suppose. And now at 47 years old I have realized that I wasted so much time.

I am an impatient artist. Possibly because I feel have so much lost time to make up for. That impatience is why I get along well with pastels and probably why I am drawn to impresionism and expressionism.
